This What We Do

The organization operates a comprehensive, community-based Education and Wellness Support Program designed to improve academic achievement, promote emotional well-being, and strengthen family capacity among children, youth, and adults in underserved communities. The program integrates STEM-focused after-school enrichment, academic support, college and career readiness, adult education, and family-centered mental health resource navigation to address both educational and social-emotional barriers to success.

Program Components

STEM-Focused After-School Enrichment

Participants engage in hands-on, project-based STEM activities that strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Programming includes math enrichment, science exploration, introductory coding, and applied technology projects designed to increase interest and confidence in STEM disciplines.

College, Career, and Adult Education Support

The program offers college readiness services including application guidance, essay support, FAFSA assistance, and scholarship navigation. Adult learners receive GED preparation, literacy support, and academic coaching to support educational re-entry and workforce advancement.

Academic Tutoring and Test Preparation

Students receive individualized and small-group tutoring aligned with school curricula. Test preparation support is provided for state assessments, SAT/ACT, and other  academic benchmarks, with an emphasis on building foundational skills and test-taking  strategies.

Social-Emotional Learning and Wellness Support

Non-clinical social-emotional learning (SEL) activities help participants develop coping skills, emotional regulation, resilience, and self-advocacy. Group sessions and workshops address stress management, goal-setting, and healthy communication for both youth and adults.

Family Resource Navigation and Advocacy

Families are supported in identifying and accessing school-based services (such as IEPs and 504 plans), behavioral health resources, and community supports. Staff  provide guidance, referrals, and advocacy assistance to help families effectively navigate systems and support children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
