Picoli Educational Services brings academic programs and mental health–informed support together, so children, youth, adults and families can thrive.
Who we are
A learning home for the whole family
The purpose of Picoli Educational Services is to provide comprehensive educational and mental health–informed support services for children, youth and adults.
We offer STEM-focused after-school programming, academic tutoring, test preparation, college and career guidance, GED preparation and social-emotional learning supports. We also help families identify and access community, school-based and behavioral health resources to support children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Through an integrated, family-centered approach, we seek to improve academic outcomes, promote emotional well-being and increase equitable access to educational and support services in underserved communities.

Director, Picoli Educational Services
Dr. Josephine G. Tingba leads Picoli’s programs and partnerships, with a deep commitment to STEM education and to making sure children in underserved communities are ready for the opportunities ahead.
With STEM jobs on the rise, there is uncertainty around whether there will be enough qualified personnel in the future.
Our story so far
Growing with our community
Summer Math Enrichment Program
In partnership with The Minority Center for Participation and Empowerment, Picoli offered a summer math enrichment program building grade-level skills in number and algebra, graphs and geometry, and probability and statistics.
Growing our reach
We are expanding our STEM, tutoring, GED and family support programs and building partnerships with schools, community and faith-based organizations. Read our growth plan.
About our wellness services: our social-emotional learning activities are non-clinical. When a child needs clinical or behavioral health care, we help families connect with licensed providers and school-based support teams.
